Warning Signs You Need Help NOW

Postpartum Psychosis (medical emergency)

  • Hearing voices, seeing things others don't
  • Believing things that aren't true
  • Feeling disconnected from reality
  • Thoughts of harming yourself or baby

Preeclampsia (medical emergency)

  • Severe headache that won't go away
  • Vision changes (spots, blurriness)
  • Pain in upper right abdomen
  • Sudden swelling in face/hands

Postpartum Hemorrhage (medical emergency)

  • Soaking through a pad in under an hour
  • Passing clots larger than a golf ball
  • Dizziness, racing heart, weakness
